CAPMT Contemporary Competition for highly motivated students and highlights the contemporary repertoire. It is open to piano, string, wind, brass and voice students from age 9 up to age 26. The Contemporary Competition offers opportunity to compete repertoire written by a composer with a death date on or after January 1, 1945. Winners from each district will compete in the State Finals in March 2026, final date and venue TBA.
