Note: Hayato Sumino’s concert on Friday, October 24th is a ticketed event that is open to the general public as part of the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts Series. All 2025 CAPMT State Conference attendees receive free admission to this concert. While seating is guaranteed, seats are not assigned and selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability of preferred seats may be limited as the concert start time approaches.

We are delighted to hold our Young Professionals Leadership Network LIVE Performance at the CAPMT State Conference in October 2025! The CAPMT State Conference will be hosted by California State University, Fresno. We look forward to featuring our YPLN recital performers during the conference this year. The YPLN recital, combined with the State Competition winners performance, will take place in the Band Room on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:45am. The deadline to register is September 15, 2025.
The event is open to registered attendees of the 2025 CAPMT State Conference only, and performers must be 18 and over. Selections should not exceed seven minutes per performer.
A recording of a performance sample will be required to be submitted for review along with registration. Please provide a link to a video recording of a recent performance of up to 5 minutes (Youtube, Google Drive, etc.). The repertoire submitted for the performance sample is not required to be the same for the YPLN concert.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you have registered for the correct District/Chapter. There are NO REFUNDS once payment has been made. Check with your teacher if you are unsure.
CAPMT Contemporary Competition for highly motivated students and highlights the contemporary repertoire. It is open to piano, string, wind, brass and voice students from age 9 up to age 26. The Contemporary Competition offers opportunity to compete repertoire written by a composer with a death date on or after January 1, 1945. Winners from each district will compete in the State Finals on Saturday, March 28, 2026, venue TBD.
Application Fee: $75
District Fee: $25
Honors Competition is for highly motivated students and highlights the repertoire from Baroque, Classical, Romantic/Impressionistic and Contemporary periods. It is open to piano, string, wind, brass, and voice students from age 9 up to age 26.
